One of our top-selling products, and the one that most people come back for. If you replace the original laces with elastic toestraps, the assembly is faster, and the protection follows the movement instead of holding back when you go down and up out of the butterfly.

The string is what usually gives up first. If you step on a regular string with the rail, it is off. That's why our toestraps come with 4.8mm elastic shockcord with braided UHMWPE sheath — ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, the same type of fibre used in cut protection gloves and body armour. In our own test against a skating rail, it lasted more than ten times longer than a regular shock cord. The cord also does not absorb water, so it behaves the same in cold hallways as in hot ones.

How to assemble them

1. Remove the original laces from the toe bridge of the goaliepad.
2. Thread the elastic laces through the same hole in the toe bridge, until there is the same amount of lacing on both sides.
3. Thread both ends through the eyelet of the toestrap and tie them together.
4. Adjust the length if necessary.
5. Fit the goaliepad in the skate just like with the usual laces.
